Friday 11/12/10

MD Anderson called me with my second blood test results that measure my cancer marker (TG) and it came back clean!!!! We will go back to MD Anderson November 2011 for follow-up.

Tests are done... going home!

Wednesday 11/10/10 - I had blood tests this morning and met with my Cancer surgeon and he was very happy with the ultrasound results. Had my radiation uptake scan and it came back clean!!! Follow-up scheduled for 1 yr. We went to Goode Company BBQ and I had the three meat plate and it was delicious! Our flight at 6:40 was on time and we arrived home 15 minutes early...Good to be home and I am excited to see my kids, Bud and Berna, and Marley and get back to work.

Tuesday 11/9/10

The side effects of the shots are wearing off! I had my my 5 milicure dose of radiation and then I had an ultrasound of my neck and they did not feel a biopsy was necessary which made me very happy! We shopped for a while around Rice which was a welcome change of scenery from the hotel!!!

Monday 11/8/10

Alright I felt pretty good this morning. Then I went to MD Anderson for my second shot and my free day was wiped out....The side effects were horrible, I had a severe headache and nausea all day long. The only good thing about today is that this is my last shot!!!

Sunday 11/7/10

Went to MD Anderson at 7am for blood tests and had my first Thyrogen shot at 9am. The Thyrogen shot kicked my butt! I am dizzy and light headed and I have major nausea. I hope number two is easier on me, will find out Monday morning at 9am!

MD Anderson 11/6 - 11/10

Hello!
We are going to MD Anderson Cancer Center 11/6 thru 11/10 for testing.
They will test me for recurrence by measuring my blood marker (TG), give me 2 Thyrogen shots, Radiation, RAI Scan, Ultrasound, probable biopsy, Cancer Surgeon appointment, Endocrinologist appointment, and then we move forward.
"Plan for the worst and hope for the best!" Positive Thoughts!
